I’m back after a week off. Did you miss me? Of course you did. Tonight I’m going to try something different to manage the playlist and make it available online. I’m going to keep track of it in this post after the break, along with any important updates.
On today’s agenda: Google Spreadsheets, Google Finance historical data, Revenge of the Nerds remake, Amazon, Wheel of Misfortune, TCNJ SGA updates, and more.
I will be working on a better system to keep track of the live playlist more easily. Big changes will be happening from now until mid-January. Hopefully I can get caught up on a lot of things that have fallen to the side, like getting shows online.
I’ve decided to try live-blogging tonight’s show, though I didn’t give people much notice. I’ve already talked about some new Google features, and Apple’s iPhone. I am playing some pretty cool music, indie rock with great guitar and drum work. The band is currently Judah Johnson.
9:45PM: You can find the constantly updated playlist here. It will be published officially once the episode airs online. Current show backlog: more than 10 shows need to be edited.
9:49PM: Is it hot in here or is it just me?
9:56PM: First person to find this while I’m still on the air earns a shoutout. Use the contact form.
10:06PM: Just read the time and weather. Added that I am blogging live from the show, giving people a little taste of the show since I have such a backlog of shows to put online. I will provide links when the news warrants them. And the playlist continues to be updated.
10:28PM: People showed up to give a mini-tour. Familiar faces all around.
10:35PM: Covered Microsoft’s Photosynth and KFC’s advertisement that is viewable from space. Photosynth uses tons of photos to create a 3D model after gathering details like window ledges and door knobs. Fairly useless unless you have enough photos, and the IE-only demo isn’t very robust.
11:18PM: Talking with Randy Morin through Gmail’s Gtalk feature. Trying to figure out how I can make a living blogging.
11:22PM: Randy tells me I should get my shows online that day. I should have them all up and not worry about editing. He says people don’t care; everyone thinks they need to edit but look at his blog. He may be right. What do you think?
11:40PM: Went over new clubs, such as Phi Alpha Thea (History Honor Society), Entrepreneur Club, and the upcoming Women in Computing and Science vote. Also mentioned that Finals Fest dates were changed to the last Thursday, Wednesday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. And I am again running the SGA website and will have it updated in a few weeks.
Tonight on Radio Firefox I have a great show for you. I will be going over the Democrats’ election win, and what they hope to accomplish. I will also cover some of the NJ race. The Spotlight on Security will cover Mozilla and Microsoft security updates. And there is some interesting developments happening in the SGA and Dining Services Committee.
I will be editing the show out of order, and hopefully having it up by Monday. It is just too important not to put online.
